Adobe just revealed some new tech that they're working on a few days back. It's blowing my mind a little. We'll see how well it holds up outside carefully prepped presentations by a lead engineer... but it seems very promising. Summary: Feed the program ~20 minutes of examples of a voice speaking, and then you can generate speech that sounds extremely believable simply by typing in words or phrases. www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3l4XLZ59iwI can tell you right now that my company would get a lot of use out of this if it performs as billed. Maybe not as a replacement for professional VO, but for minor NPCs, non-human characters, and prototype dialog it could be amazing.

Gosh, the potential for misuse is huge! Can you imagine what some unscrupulous politicans could do with this software?
