Howdy. It's been a good minute since I've been active around here. Well, kind of here, since the real here won't be here much longer. Anyway, it's refreshing to jump back in. As the cold returns to the glorious Midwest, I am again turning to YouTube to occupy my life. What are you all about on YouTube right now? One of my old roommates got me hooked in this show, You Suck At Cooking. It's like, 40% cooking show, 40% comedy, and 20% random-ass side plots. It works. And the continuity between videos is insane, so I would absolutely recommend watching (a cooking show?) from the beginning. It makes more sense that way. Two of his highlights: Show me what you got. I'm tired of watching Game Grumps all the time.

Oh, which ones, which ones? I'm subscribed to quite a few channels. The LPer raocow is the only one of my channels that updates regularly and I've been working on a few of his community's fangame projects. Mostly it was making Super Mario Bros X games. However, I think it's best to mention three animation channels: Crowne Prince has an channel where she where talks about how to make animations and discusses animations found on the internet. It's actually kind of soothing listening to her voice and watching her Flash puppet move on screen. www.youtube.com/user/ScalasisSome time ago, I also subscribed to John R. Dilworth's channel, StretchFilms. That's Dilworth of Courage the Cowardly Dog fame. His channel hasn't updated much but recently he released two Courage the Cowardly Dog commentaries. You've got to find your own copy of the episodes in question ( King Ramses Curse and A Night at the Katz Motel) and sync it to his commentary video, but it's kind of interesting to hear him talk about the episodes. www.youtube.com/user/StretchFilmsThe third channel is "A Fox in Space", which is basically this one guy's attempt at creating an 80s style Star Fox cartoon. It's actually pretty good. There's only one episode so far but it's a good one if you're a Star Fox fan. www.youtube.com/channel/UCvU3L4wOrubaBtQeTuZ3TiQ

I have a lot of subscriptions, so I'll give you a cross-section
PBS Space Time is a good channel for scientific discussion, usually about cosmology.
TL;DR is usually an entertaining fact-checker and Sarkeesian debunker. A lot of his stuff is probably not the cup of tea for this forum, but he earned my subscription when he sat down and did a 2+ hour livestream taking apart the Twitter Safety Council members one by one. At the end of the day he was able to tie almost a third of them directly to the European Commission and concluded it was a first step to censor the net.
ErrantSignal is one of three "video games as art" reviewers I follow, the others being Matthewmatosis and Emcee Prophet. ErrantSignal is probably the most thoughtful per second of video time and about the most accessible topics.

My favorite Youtuber is Lucahjin! She's a very funny Let's Player. I watch almost all of her videos and streams, she is also very sweet and humble and unashamedly immature at times, and she has a one-eyed cat named Bagel! I also regularly watch SuperMega; their style is similar to Game Grumps. A few others I enjoy for game-related content are Yuriofwind, Beta64, and Unseen64. I'll second Wolf's recommendation of A Fox in Space. It's awesome! Definitely worth giving a subscribe. Episodes will be quite spaced out over time, but the first episode was SO impressive, especially considering all of the animation, music, and most of the voices were done by one person. I am currently contributing to the creator's Patreon to support the continuation of the series. I have a ton of YouTube Poop channels I can suggest but I'm not gonna bother unless somebody expresses interest. I know YTP is, uh... niche.

I'm subscribed to only a few YouTube channels so I don't really have many to recommend. One of those is Gopher. This channel is mainly about Skyrim and Fallout modding. If you have an interest in modding, or if you have thought about modding and don't know where to start, this channel can help. Gopher has many guides on modding and he has pla throughs of modded games and of the larger mods for those games. Another is AlternativeHistoryHub. It's self explanatory. Each video offers a different alternative history scenario and explains how history could be different, such as "What if cars weren't invented?" or "What if the Industrial Revolution never happened?" Another is ShoddyCast. That one is about video game lore, often portrayed as a person in game explaining the history to other people.
