What? No Vet either? You're all finding new ways of disappointing me!  No, it's nice to see you guys, again. Great to see all those familiar names, even if GunboatNetherVEt is not a Vet.  I was in kind of a weird mental mood when I just dropped off the face of the old boards. I'm still not quite right but I'm hoping some good old Legends Alliance will help things along. |

I'd like to revive the Zelda sections on the original LA board. See forums.legendsalliance.com/topic/25536-aaaaand-im-back/ I think there is still plenty to talk about in the Zelda story (at least for me - I have a lot of re-education to do!) Everybody thought the forums were closing because of the upkeep costs, losing contact with Khuffie, and some other issues. So these forums were created. Later davo got in touch saying he'd keep the original forums up, but by then people were happy with the new start, so we decided to archive the old forum (keeping the posts, but also keeping them private) while the Zelda section would stay open as an extension of davo's Zelda Legends website. Yes, it is a long story. We've all been discussing it for a while now, so threads are all over the place on both forums.
1) Khuffie was going to shut down his server / we were having lots of prolonged server downtime.
2) We started this place.
3) This place started taking off while Old LA went relatively silent.
4) Soon we had 1000+ posts over here, and this became the first place people checked.
5) Davo later agreed to host the old boards, but by then we'd stabilized over here.
6) Davo is interested in bringing Zelda Legends back on track.
7) So the old Zelda sections over there will remain open; the forum will be solely dedicated to Zelda.
8) Should Zelda Legends not take off again, Davo will be spared long-term expense of hosting LA.
9) As he will be free to close the boards / stop paying the IPB license whenever he pleases.
10) IPB can get expensive after a while, especially if it's on a private server and there's low traffic.
11) This version of LA is free, so this is the least costly and most efficient solution for all.
