So this is something that's been on mind for a little while now, but what do you guys think of putting together a short intro (or outro) clip that could act as a plug for LA on all our our affiliated channels and videos?
Example:
I know I've reference Normal Boots before, but I think this really short video clip is a good way of getting their name out there on their affiliated channels, such as Jontron, PBGamer, ProJared, etc. Typically the clip plays at the beginning of the video before the intro clip for the individual show. I've had a few ideas rattling around in my head, mostly Zelda related since I'm not too sure what else to use. Something like having Link opening a chest and pulling out the LA logo or editing the intro to ALttP to have it say Legends Alliance instead. It doesn’t have to be Zelda themed, since I know we’re moving away from that as our overall theme, those were just some ideas I came up with.
Considering that we are already in development of a new logo and symbol for the new LA, I figured this is something that could maybe be worked on in tandem with those projects. I’ll get the two clips I have in mind recorded sooner or later and we’ll see where things go from there I suppose.

Maybe. Sometimes intro sequences can be annoying, but I was at least thinking of superimposing a watermark with our eventual logo on all our videos. An outro might be less obtrusive.

Well, the problem is that peeps seem less interested in a Legends Alliance channel and more a collection of individual channels. Individual channels mean each channel has it's own branding concerns which are more important than the collective Legends Alliance brand. An outro may be spot on.
Also, possibly a two-part transition. The standard Youtube video format is a brief teaser explaining the video, the intro animation, and then the major content. If everyone agreed to standardize color schemes and formatting, we could use a two-part intro. First with the individual channel, then flip the card over to show the Legends Alliance title card like it's a before-movie credits showing the director, then flipping over to show the production studio. I don't see the extra step taking long enough to cause click-offs.
In my case, I'm not worried about including such an intro just yet. Recorded RPG sessions and podcasts are primarily audio content, so chances are the Legends Alliance logo will be the entirety of the visual part. It would be the title card for the Youtube video, and it would be the album art for the .mp3 file. I would like a logo variation with a lot of empty space; space for a commissioned artwork for the campaigns could really make the video's thumbnail pop. But I don't see that being too hard to handle.
I don't see my needs being picky, though.

So rather than one singular channel, perhaps a Legends Alliance Network of sorts? Kinda close to the Normal Boots model?

Alright, so, here's what I've come up with thus far. At the moment it's just a still image, since I lack the proper animation skills to do it justice. I wanted to base it off of the intro from ALttP, or at least the first 20 seconds of the following video. So after a bit of editing and sprite work, here's the title screen LA edition I had envisioned. If anyone wants to try and take a crack at doing a full animation, I can supply the various raw image files so they could make an attempt, otherwise I'm just going to add part of the intro theme and call it a day. Any thoughts or comments on the design? Attachments:

I really like the lettering, looks good! My only concern is maybe we should create our own background to go with it, rather than using the background from the game. If it's going to be an official LA intro, I'm guessing that parodying Zelda a bit is safe, but we should probably use original art so we don't risk getting sued or something. XD

While I'm no expert in the matter, I don't think we need to worry about being sued. XD
With that said though, I'm definitely not opposed to switching up the background or music or anything else, like I said this is more of just a mock-up then anything, or maybe something to use on some of our earlier content until we come up with something better. I went ahead and put something together real quick in moviemaker to help realize the mock-up a bit more. With my own LP videos hopefully being uploaded within the next week or so, I may use this clip for time being, just to have something there, unless there are any serious objections to it.
Thoughts?
