You should be able to edit your display name to anything. It's like LA. You've got your actual account name and a display name. They're just more strict with the account name here for whatever reason.

I really was thinking I had finally gotten another convert to the lowercase username club! XD

(Also, yeah ProBoards has weird quirks like that... on another ProBoards forum I use, I discovered apparently you HAVE to input a female or male gender identifier. >.> But there's some kind of way to let you set it so it doesn't display with your posts?)

For the record, to edit your display name:

Edit Profile > Personal > Display Name. Should be at the top of that Personal section.
