My knee jerk reaction was confusion, but after a second it makes sense. Besides actually looking really slick, it makes sense to give the previous handheld one final revision as a send-off for the people who still hadn't got it, and the price is not terrible.

I've always preferred the XL DS models over the standard ones. $150 for an XL 2DS is a great deal honestly. I know I personally don't care about the 3D, so this model is rather appealing to me. I already have a 3DS XL, but if for whatever reason I feel inclined to get another 3DS, one of the New line, then this would be my go to.
