So I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to post this in the Switch thread, the Rivals Alliance thread, or the community streams thread, so I decided to make a new one instead!
I've spent the past couple of months gathering materials and teaching myself how to do everything needed to make a video of this caliber, and while there are many, MANY, places of improvement, I'm actually pretty proud of what I was able to accomplish.
I present to my fellow LAers, the first official Nintendrone Direct!
It was supposed to be something ridiculous, yet light hearted, poking fun at how serious people take their video games and online dialogues nowadays. I really hope you enjoy, or at least get a laugh in at how deranged I've become. Either way is fine by me.

Oh, wow! That was actually really well done. I especially loved the addition of the power glove to the costume. For a first stab I'd say this was really good; getting into character may take time and practice, but you still have a character. Which is more than I can say about me.

Thanks Egann. Not entirely sure what I'll be doing with the character going forward, but I'm fairly proud of how it all turned out. I'll be looking forward to whenever I get the chance to do another video in the series.
The feedback I have gotten has been primarily positive, but of the people and places I've shared it to, there's been a whole lot of nothing in response, which is admittedly a little disappointing.

It's DickSteve time. This is a good start and well produced, and I liked the content, but so far Nintendrone is a costume, not a character. Any Nintendo fanboy could be in front of the screen delivering this speech.
You're using a K. Rool base and Nintendrone is dressed as dictator, but he's delivering this earnest message better suited for the blue muppet Arlo. Nintendrone doesn't look like an earnest guy. He looks like an evil Nintendo fan. Why not make him cruel dictator of an insignificant country who threatens comical punishments upon anyone who disagrees with his taste in games? He gloats about how good a gamer he is ("I beat Battletoads with the Power Glove"). He has a one-sided feud with Reggie. He's literally declared war on Playstation and he wants you in his army. He plays multiplayer to smite his friends, not to have fun. He should be demanding that people all hail the Wii U and treat its legacy with respect, not earnestly pleading with the audience to remember it fondly and look forward to the Switch. Take Nintendrone to the next level!
At least, that's what I expected to see based on my first impression of the costume. I fear I may have just committed the great sin of criticism, which is ignoring your vision and substituting my own.

Not at all Steve, I love constructive criticism, since it's the best kind of feedback for bettering your ideas.
The original idea for Commander N was to make a character that was half Captain N, half Cobra Commander. The idea was to have someone to act as a self-imposed leader of Nintendo fans, with a very militant spin on it, to parody the whole console war notion. Honestly, the I love the various ideas you suggested, some were even a few ideas I had been thinking of, like a parody of the whole Uncle Sam "I want you" poster. Or maybe once my editing skills dramatically improve, have K. Roolenstein as a background character to bicker with.
These are the kind of things I really want to see going forward. Honestly, looking back in retrospect, I think this initial speech was more of myself and less of a character talking. I guess I wanted to start with something a little more sincere, and then work my way into insanity.
Thank you for the feedback Steve, I very much appreciate it. Also, I LOVE Arlo, so being compared to him is never a bad thing to me.
