It's that time of year again. So far I've bought Titanfall 2 and Oblivion - playing through the campaign for Titanfall at the moment whilst trying to balance end-of-semester schoolwork. The story is great so far, but I'm terrible at multiplayer. Great game though.

I've picked up Axiom Verge, Dishonored, and Rogue Legacy. More than I usually do, actually.

Does anything look terrible? We've got a Gamehater slot to fill tonight?

I got Dishonored and Cities: Skylines -- was tempted to get a few more, but they were mostly kinda-wants. So I'm holding off for now.
Got Mad Max and Arkham Knight on Xbox One since they were finally dirt cheap. The couple we game-share with also got Watch_Dogs 2, so we should be set for a while.

I just got a new PC, so this is my first Steam Sale. I got Civ V after some nudging by certain people, as well as the first two Witchers. I think I'll grab Cities Skylines as well and end there.
Over on PSN's sale I picked up Telltale Batman, the DLC for Witcher III, and Jackbox Party Pack III.

Indulge a sale newbie, is there a chance that some of these discount games will be further discounted during the Winter Sale?

Almost zero chance for better discounts -- most games are already slashed down to their "as low as they almost ever go" price. Might be some different titles on sale during the Winter event, but if you're eyeing any games that are presently discounted you may as well just get them. Especially if they're down to 75% off.
I think Steam got rid of the Flash sales they used to have, but someone might have to correct me on that. I haven't seen any in the last couple events.

Steam did get rid of flash sales a couple of years ago. There are a couple of reasons why they did it, one of them is to stop people from getting refunds because they bought a game on sale only to find that an hour later it's a flash sale.

I've done a very good job of ignoring Steam sales for the past however many years it's been since I last posted on the old forums. The method is to make sure that your credit card details are out of date and to have your credit card in a different froom from your PC. To avoid the Steam front page, have icons to your games in the start menu or desktop so you open the games up directly from those instead of having to go through Steam.
Heck, if I hadn't looked at this forum, I wouldn't have known a Steam sale was on and yet another year of sales would have passed me by.
