I'd love to, but all the yearly events and nonsensical character changes happening all the time sorta just drove me off - I think Gwen and Norman's Super Goblin Babies did me in, then after came One More Day. I peek in now and then, and I find something I liked a lot....but Dick Grayson and Bucky quit being Cap and Batman respectively because of course they did, or they can whatever book I end up liking, so I get grumpy again.
I'll still read trades here and there, and I like Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales' new book, but a lot of the connective tissue those have with the rest of the universe just sorta turn me off. Which is too bad, they seem to be doing right by Captain Falcon America and Jane Thor so far, but I think years of "THIS IS THE NEW STATUS QUOE!" followed shortly by "Eh, here, back to how it was" and way too many shocking twists made just for the hell of it have worn me down - I think that's why I'm attracted to the movies so much, all the writing and storytelling, not as much of the nonsense.
Still, I think you or someone else might've have said good things about the Marvel digital subscription thing being a good deal? Honestly, if I have all of it at my fingertips, albeit 6 months late, I could be tempted to try and be back in since it wouldn't cost me nearly as much as back in the day.

I can definitely recommend Marvel Unlimited. The library is fairly comprehensive and they're adding new titles every week, both new and retro. Most of my new reading are certain characters or writers, so I've avoided some of those pitfalls thus far.
Kamala Khan's run as Ms. Marvel is the greatest god damned thing. Matt Fraction's Hawkeye was also such an amazing read as well. Just yesterday I started Captain Marvel from the beginning and am loving it.

I really like comic book characters and reading about them. I'm sure I've picked up and read through plenty of the series specific encyclopedias to just read about them, so there has always been the interest there for me.
My problem, however, is that there just isn't enough time for me to reasonably read through and actually ever get caught up on the various series I would like to read. My problem is that I'm a very sequential person, it's usually important to me to start at the beginning and work your way up, so I would ideally want to start from issue 1 for the characters I'm interested in, so you can see my dilemma. So I would honestly rather spend my time and money elsewhere, and just stick to the various film, TV, and game adaptions of the characters I enjoy, with the occasional graphic novel.

I guess I see your dilemma but I don't see it as a dilemma. I am doing that very thing with all the staple characters. I've started at issue one for all of the big heroes. Fantastic Four. Ant Man. Spidey. Iron Man. Thor. I'm just starting to get to the first appearance of Daredevil. Doctor Strange almost has his first full length adventure. I absolutely love starting at the beginning and working my way through.

I definitely appreciated Pizza Dog and all the other quirks in Fraction's Hawkeye run, so much so I don't really know if I want to keep reading into the current volume despite the current writer keeping some of the tone. That almost makes it worse or will make it feel off. It definitely made me feel glad for once to be the one guy who intentionally played Hawkeye in the old arcade game back in the day.
I'll need to track down one of those "First month only $5.00!" deal things somewhere to give it a shot. Hell, it might be in the Civil War blu-ray I just got, but eh, it can't hurt.

I like comics a lot but generally stay away from superhero comics. I do like Ms. Marvel and the 2015-present run of the Mighty Thor though.
My fave comic is Saga. Every new issue feels like a Christmas present. ;o; <3

I'm more inclined to favor short series or specific arcs rather than an ongoing serial, myself, so I'm always looking for recommendations for those. Not necessarily superheroes.
I've been watching to check out that Star Wars series that was based on Lucas' early drafts - it looked crazy. Or the one about Vader that made him look like a legit badass rather than whiny sack of emo sand. Didn't they do one for the Thrawn trilogy, too?

I've never been that into superhero comics, myself. When I do read comics I normally stick to relatively short, weird ones like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. I can't really talk much about Marvel. ._.

I've heard good things about that one but it takes a lot for me to *start* a new series, especially if it's already been out for awhile. I'll get around to it eventually.

The Vader series from Marvel is pretty decent, and with Rebels falls in line with people reminding everyone that, hey, before he met and found out about Luke, Darth Vader was a monster who could and would murder everyone. A for "The Star Wars," well, it suddenly makes a lot of sense why Episode I had so much politics in it.

As far as US comics go, I read Monstress and Saga from Image, 10th Doctor Adventures and that's about it.
For Manga, I've been cutting my titles down since most of the regular ones have since ended. I pop into my list of bookmarks to see if they actually updated but it's hit and miss.
