Lawd help me, I've gone from my motivated, let's-get-involved mode back into please-let-me-live-in-a-private-underground-bunker mode.

Is anyone else going to the march in D.C.? Or your local marches? I'm going to D.C. since it's close and my in-laws live there.

I don't know which is going to be more amusing. The non-news reporting hilariously silly stories like golden showergate. The fact that when an actual scandal hits no one will believe them because of all their shenanigans. Or everyone here being so susceptible to suggestion, everyone has tachycardia.
The story of The Trump Presidency so far, from the point of view of George Soros:

Oh, Egann, I do appreciate having a token conservative around, even if our respective bubbles are so opaque that nothing we say makes any sense to each other.

I just want it done and over with, the feeling of dread looming over the horizon is getting old.
The fact that the TPP is going to be stopped by Trump I feel is a small consolation for what might come down the pipeline these next few months but I'm more worried about the Republicans who are so gung-ho about destroying Obamacare that they'll screw myself and millions like me out of basic health insurance without a replacement in place.

Well. First days sort of a trainwreck so far.
* Suspends all National Parks twitter accounts because an intern retweeted that side-by-side photo of the Trump and Obama inaugurations. Keeping in mind that The Mall is part of the parks service. Parks service heads forced to apologize, at which point their access twitter is restored.
* Goes to CIA to make amends with intelligence community, in front of their memorial wall, and spends half the time insulting the lying evil media and the people insulting the size of his.... inauguration crowd.
* New press secretary delivers statement, refusing to take questions afterward. Again admonishes media for deliberately and maliciously trying to make the Women's March and Obama inauguration look more popular than Trump's. Call their behavior shameful. Makes no calls for unity and doesn't focus at all on new policies.
* Environmental scientists launch emergency operations to upload research data to the internet before physical records are destroyed.
* Further implications that the new administration and Congress fully intends to sell of public land and park land to mine/drill for natural resources -- and once sold, that land will be almost impossible to put back into public trust.
So, a reality star's focus on making his public attendance numbers look good and juvenile defensiveness when it looks like he wasn't able to pull off a good show. No real calls for unity -- only loyalty. Those are not necessarily the same thing. Further bitching toward the media despite fully utilizing the media. Petty vindictiveness. And perhaps a precedent that news conferences will now be delivered statements with no questions allowed (given what a shit show open questions tend to become with him at the helm).
But hey, he said the words "Radical Islamic Terror," so now ISIS has been defeated.

He should have just said "radical terrorism", Islamic terrorism is so George W. circa 2004.
Hundreds of Thousands of people protesting everywhere, streets literally choked up by the women's march all over the country. Whether it will mean anything in the long run has yet to be seen but it appears as though many disenfranchised citizens will not abide by the new president.
