Hi everyone.
I didn't think it would happen but real life got the best of me and has forced me to live up to the realisation that I'm not in school/university/unemployed any more. Work has been crazy this past month and I haven't had the time to check in here or help out with planning the future of our little community.
I've felt guilty about not being more active and when all it takes is a quick log-in every now and then and not even doing that. I knew that important things were being planned out and still never got around to pitching in. Because of that, and also because I think I might be creatively spent after 14 years of LA stewardship, I've resigned as an admin (again).
I'm not leaving this place, it'll be a nice feeling to simply pop in and see that's happening without thinking I should be doing something responsible, so I'm not saying goodbye by any stretch of the imagination. As if I could leave completely. LA is in my blood now.
I've thoroughly enjoyed every moment of each iteration of this message board. Even when individually deleting posts from some turnip who decided to spam LA at 9 am my time on a Saturday. When watching members rise through the ranks and contribute so much to the boards. The dorms! I miss them. DoM for life. The silly lottery that kept going long past its sell-by-date. The sweepstakes. The never-out-of-ideas-phase Zelda-Pokemon mashup game. The murder mystery that never got finished (Steel Samurai's character did it in case I never revealed it, can't remember). The wallpaper Toan and others made me when I resigned as dorm admin. You guys made me a wallpaper! I still have it since I've backup up every file on every computer I've owned. 800x600 because Toan failed to detectize my screen resolution properly!
And the Book (ptb). Wouldn't be here now without that, probably. Got me on Necro's radar.
So anyway, I'll be around. Once I can be bothered to sort a facebook account out I'll try to add everyone.
It's been an honour. With a u.
Biscuits.
Tea.
Did I ever mention you drive on the wrong side of the road? Because I'm mentioning it now.
