So in light of all this talk on reviving the community, Steve and I have moved forward starting up our own Twitch stream with a counterpart at Youtube. We even have our own logo! You can check us out at: www.twitch.tv/gamehikerwww.youtube.com/user/gamehikerWe'll be doing solo runs on this channel, but we also do a co-op game every Saturday evening around 10PM. We'd appreciate any follows or subscriptions you want to throw our way! |

That may be my fault, since I control the audio that gets recorded. I'll have to dabble with it next time and make sure we are both coming through in equal volume.

We're open to them, if you have some. Right now we're channel building, so we're going to try to veer towards some big name games for more exposure, but there's nothing stopping us from doing sessions like above just to experience different games.

Right now we have three modes:
1. Gamehiker Co-op: The flagship. Where the two of us play a game together as a weekly series.
2. Gamehater: Where we load up games that have been sitting in our Steam inventories (just mine so far, but that's likely to change), play them blind and review as we go. If things go to plan, we hate the game. So far, we're 2 for 3.
3. Solo runs: Play games with commentary whenever we feel like it. These are designed to be serious, full runs.
So yeah, game suggestions are welcome. They'd be most likely to end up on Gamehater, and there's nothing wrong with that except your taste in games.

Oh, dear. I just saw that. AAAAAHHH. MY EYES!  In all seriousness, though, I've been contemplating a FFXIII replay, as I have a lot to say about it. Is it a good game? No, but now that I've had time to think about it...it's a pretty rough critique of Judeo-Christian salvation and predestination. For being a failed game, it's got a lot under the hood which no one's talked about. |

Please tell me the innuendo in your logo is intentional. I knew it would be an issue when i made it, but anything with a joystick inevitably has that problem. But it's a play on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy logo, which is from where Gamehiker draws its origins (I originally titled the website Hitchhiker's Guide to Video Games). But if people wanna see a penis, they gonna see a penis. |
